Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 battery capacities revealed by Chinese regulator

A new online listing from a regulator based in China may have revealed the battery specifications for the Galaxy Watch 6. Previous leaks had hinted at a battery upgrade for the device. According to the listing, both the standard model and the Classic will be available in two sizes, with the largest variants sharing the same battery size.

The battery capacities for each model and size are as follows:

• Galaxy Watch 6 40mm – 300mAh battery (SM-R930/SM-R935)
• Galaxy Watch 6 44mm – 425mAh battery (SM-R940/SM-R945)
• Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm – 300mAh battery (SM-R950/SM-R955)
• Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm – 425mAh battery (SM-R960/SM-R965)

This information aligns with previous rumors, but there is no mention of a Pro device. It is possible that earlier leaks referred to the Classic instead. While these specifications indicate a 5% improvement in battery capacity compared to the Galaxy Watch 5, they are lower than the 590mAh battery found in the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. It is also rumored that the Watch 6 may have additional features to improve battery life, such as a MicroLED display instead of a SuperAMOLED screen.
