The military field dial has barely changed in eighty years: large Arabic numerals, a smaller inner ring running 13 to 24 for 24-hour time, baton markers around the edge, and hands built for legibility rather than looks. This design keeps all of that, adds a day and date window at 3 o'clock, and makes one modern move. The marker at the 12 position and the seconds hand are colored together as a pair, which no issued watch ever did and which suits this one very well. There are 10 background color variations, 10 color variations for that pair, and one optional circular complication.
