This design follows the classic aviation dial. A large scale in five-minute increments runs the outer edge, a triangle marks the 12 position for instant orientation, and the whole layout is set up around one requirement: read the time correctly, quickly, under pressure. Sand-colored markers at the quarters and slim batons between them give the dial its rhythm. Skeletonized sword hands and a thin seconds hand complete a look that has barely needed changing since the 1940s. What is new is what you add. There are 2 optional circular complications for your own data, and 10 color variations.
