The rotating bezel was a popular feature of the Galaxy Watch, but Samsung removed it from the Galaxy Watch 5 series. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic had the bezel, but its successor, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, did not. However, it seems that Samsung is reintroducing the feature in the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
This is all just speculation at this point, but two new pieces of information seem to suggest the return of the rotating bezel:
- The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will have a Classic version, which was the codename for the rotating-bezel version for the Galaxy Watch 4
- The battery capacity of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is not yet public information, and this might hide in itself the possibility of it being smaller than the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’s 590mAh battery to accomodate the extra space required for the rotating bezel.
The battery information for each model is as follows:
- Galaxy Watch 6 40mm: SM-R930/SM-R935 (300mAh)
- Galaxy Watch 6 44mm: SM-R940/SM-R945 (425mAh)
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm: SM-R950/SM-R955 (300 mAh)
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm: SM-R960/SM-R965 (battery capacity unknown)
More details about the upcoming watches are expected to emerge soon. The Galaxy Watch 6 is anticipated to launch later this year, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
