Mini Reader in numbers
Minimalist Features That Actually Exist
EPUB & MOBI Only
Two formats, DRM-free. That's it. We're not building a file converter here. (Calibre is, if a Kindle file won't open.)
A Folder Icon
Tap it for your recent books; an actual button opens new ones. It's 24dp. We measured. Twice. It's a statement.
Distraction-Free Reading
No images. No font picker. No margins adjuster. No line spacing options. Text size has two buttons, and we’re still processing that. Just you and the words. Radical, we know.
Stupidly Fast
App launches instantly, even on a potato. Opening a new book? A few seconds while we do some math. Reopening? Faster than you can blink. We timed it. You lost.
Touch to Turn Pages
Top 1/4 = previous, Bottom 3/4 = next. We did the math so your thumb doesn't have to travel far.
Long Press = Turbo Mode
Hold to flip pages faster. For when you swear you were on chapter 12 but somehow ended up at chapter 3.
Volume Buttons Work
Up = previous page, Down = next page when no audio is playing. Revolutionary.
Remembers Where You Stopped
Even we're not that minimal.
Text Size Buttons
A+ and A−. Each book remembers its own size. Two whole buttons — our minimalist charter may never recover.
Recent Books
Tap the folder: your last ten books, with your place in each. You can also make it forget a book, for the novels you'd both rather pretend never happened. We refuse to call it a Library. Libraries have ambitions.
A Clock
So you know it's 3 AM and you have work in 4 hours.
Battery Indicator
Shows your battery level. Turns orange below 30% and red below 15%. That's as close to panicking as it gets. It still doesn't judge your life choices.
Dark & Light Mode
Yes, we caved. Light mode works great on e-ink readers. We're not monsters.
Accurate Page Numbers
"Page: 356/2725 - 13%" — calculated for your screen, not some imaginary paperback. Math that actually works.
Reading Time
Tap the page number: this session, your total, your speed, how long until you're free, and how long the whole book takes. Skipped pages are estimated and marked ~. Naps on page 212 don't count. It all stays on your phone.
What This App Proudly Doesn't Do
Zero Bloat Guaranteed
- Social features
- Cloud sync
- Achievement badges
- AI recommendations
- Reading streaks (your guilt trip is your own business)
- Subscription plans
- Push notifications ("Remember that book you abandoned?")
- Analytics tracking (we genuinely don't care what you're reading)
- Permissions (it doesn't ask for a single one)
- Settings menu with 47 options (no menu — three buttons snuck into the header, and we’re watching them)
- Email collection
- Social sharing
- Page curl animations (this isn't a pop-up book)

Frequently Asked Questions
Why another ebook reader?
Because every other reader app thinks you need a 3D bookshelf, social sharing, and 200MB of features you'll never use. We disagree.
Can I sync my books across devices?
No. Your books live on your device. Weird, we know. But there's this thing called a file manager... And we don't back anything up either: your place and your reading time stay on your phone.
Does it track what I'm reading?
Nope. The app asks for zero permissions and has no analytics, so we have no idea what you're reading and we prefer it that way. It does count your reading time, but it counts it on your phone, for you, and tells nobody. Your reading habits are your business.
Can I change the font?
It's your phone's own sans-serif — Roboto on most phones. It's great. Deal with it.
Can I change the text size?
Yes. A+ and A−, from squint to billboard, and each book remembers its own. This is the most feature-rich sentence on this page.
Is it in my language?
Probably. It follows your device language, with translations provided via Google Play. Spotted a bad one? Write to info@celest-watches.com and we'll fix it.
Will you add [insert feature here]?
Probably not. If it doesn't directly help you read books faster or better, it's bloat. We're allergic to bloat.
What does it cost? Ads? Subscriptions?
You pay once. A small amount. Then it's yours — no ads, no subscriptions, no "premium tier" holding your text size hostage. We're as surprised as you are that this business model still exists.
Why is the folder icon so small?
It's 24dp. We measured. Twice. It's a statement.
