CELEST Watches is primarily a watch face studio. We publish over 200 designs across Wear OS, Huawei, and Facer (which also makes our designs available on Apple Watch), and that remains the main focus of what we do.
Alongside the watch faces, we’ve been building a small collection of Android apps. These are side projects that aim to solve specific, everyday problems — the kind of tasks where the available options on the Play Store often felt heavier than the problem warranted. Each app does one thing, works offline, and avoids the patterns we personally find frustrating in modern mobile software: no subscriptions, no advertisements within the apps themselves, no required accounts, no tracking, no unnecessary features layered on top of the core use case.
Here’s what’s currently available.
Counter Widget
A minimal home screen widget for counting. Tap the widget to count up by one. Long-press to open the editor where you can change the number, reset it, adjust background opacity, or pick from 20 color themes. The widget is resizable from 1×1 up to 4×4 cells, and each widget you place is independent, so you can track several things in parallel. Useful for reps, daily habits, pages read, or any other single-tap tally.
BreakFree: Track. Log. Quit.
A streak tracker for breaking habits or building new ones. You add a challenge, log slips honestly when they happen, and BreakFree calculates your current and longest streaks based on your entries. A calendar view shows your history with green dots for clean days and red dots for slips. The app supports tracking multiple challenges at once, sends milestone notifications at common intervals (one day, one week, one month, and so on), and includes home screen widgets for both light and dark themes. Data can be exported and imported if you want to back it up or move to a new device.
DotDotDash – Learn Morse Code
A training app for learning International Morse Code. Practice modes cover reading, listening, and sending messages, with weighted lessons that focus more on characters you’re struggling with. Audio playback uses pre-generated tone files for precise timing rather than synthesized output. The app tracks your progress and includes a grading system so you can gauge improvement over time. Suitable for amateur radio operators, scouts, or anyone interested in learning the code from scratch.
FocusClock
A desk companion that combines a large, high-visibility clock with a built-in Pomodoro-style focus timer. Designed for use while your phone is docked — open the app, place your phone on a charger, and the clock stays visible from across the room. Below the time, you’ll see the date, battery level, and your next calendar event. The focus timer runs alongside the clock with a default 25-minute work interval and automatic handling of short and long breaks. Settings include custom session lengths from 1 to 120 minutes, multiple color themes, OLED-friendly pure black backgrounds, and pixel-shift technology to reduce burn-in on sensitive displays.
IF Timer: Intermittent Fasting
A timer for intermittent fasting. Choose from preset fasting methods (14:10, 15:9, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4) or set a custom window. The main screen shows your current phase — fasting or eating — with a circular progress indicator and the time remaining. Optional notifications alert you when each phase starts, or you can enable a persistent notification to always see the current state. An optional weight log lets you track changes over time. The app is deliberately scoped to the timer and logging functions — there are no recipes, coaching features, or community components.
Mini Reader
A minimal e-book reader for EPUB and MOBI files. Books are stored locally on your device with no cloud sync or account required. The interface prioritizes readability with light and dark themes, volume-button page navigation, and a layout stripped down to the text and a simple progress indicator. The app does not include social features, reading achievements, or AI-powered recommendations — it’s designed for readers who manage their own library and want a distraction-free reading experience.
Simple Interval Timer
An interval timer that works on both your Android phone and your Wear OS watch. Set work and rest durations, number of rounds, and optional preparation time, then start the timer. Audio and haptic cues mark each phase transition so you don’t need to watch the screen during a workout. Suitable for HIIT, Tabata, CrossFit workouts, boxing rounds, running intervals, and other timed training formats.
For our Hungarian readers: Névnapp – Sose felejtsd el!
This one is specific to Hungarian users. Name days — névnapok — are a long-standing tradition in Hungary where each calendar day is associated with particular given names, and people wish each other a happy name day much like they would a birthday. Névnapp helps you keep track. The app shows today’s and tomorrow’s name days, synchronizes with your phone contacts so you can see when friends and family have their name day, and sends a morning notification with the day’s relevant names. If you live in Hungary or have Hungarian-speaking contacts, this removes a small but recurring source of social forgetfulness from your life.
About the apps
Every app above is available on Google Play. They run entirely on your device, with no cloud services, no user accounts, and no analytics tracking your behavior. Where there’s a cost, it’s a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Our intent with each of these is simple: to ship tools that respect your time and your storage space, and that stay the size they need to be.
Watch faces remain the main focus of CELEST Watches. These apps are side projects, but they’re side projects we use ourselves daily, and they reflect the same principles that guide the watch face work — clean design, no unnecessary additions, and a preference for something that does one thing well over something that does many things poorly.
If any of them solve a problem you have, we hope they’re useful.
