In November of 2022, Huawei introduced a distinct smartwatch named the Watch GT Cyber to the Chinese market. It boasts a remarkable feature of having a detachable design, enabling users to switch between various straps and cases. Now, the company has launched the smartwatch on a global scale for the first time. This article provides an overview of the smartwatch’s specifications and pricing.
The Watch GT Cyber is one-of-a-kind with its detachable face that can be separated from its strap and casing. It is available in three case options: Sports, Fashion, and Urban Explorer. Additionally, the watch is MIL-STD-certified, meaning it can withstand harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, dust, moisture, and shocks.
The smartwatch features a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It operates on OpenHarmony-based software and offers over 100 sports modes, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, stress monitoring, and more. The smartwatch also has built-in GPS and NFC for contactless payments, and allows for music playback, Bluetooth calling, and a voice assistant.
Compatibility for the Huawei Watch GT Cyber includes smartphones that run on at least HarmonyOS 2, Android 6.0, or iOS 9.0. The watch is 5ATM water-resistant and is powered by a 292mAh battery that can last for up to seven days of usage with wireless charging capabilities.
As of now, the smartwatch is only available for pre-order in Mexico with a MEX$100 ($5) deposit. Pre-orders come with a discounted price of MEX$3,699 ($196), while its original price will be MEX$3,999 ($212). Huawei will probably expand the availability of the Watch GT Cyber to other markets in the very near future.
