In addition to these software enhancements, the update also includes the security patch for July 2023.

Samsung has officially revealed the deployment of the most recent One UI 5 Watch software update for users of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in the United States. This latest update is packed with an array of fresh features, providing users with enhanced control. Furthermore, it incorporates the July 2023 security patch to bolster the watches’ security. According to the details outlined in Samsung’s changelog, the recent software update for the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Watch 4 introduces new watch faces and tiles. Notable additions include the Buds controller tile, Timer tile, and a battery tile that conveniently displays the battery status of all connected Samsung devices.

The Galaxy Buds tile offers the convenience of toggling 360 Audio on or off directly from the watch. Moreover, users now have the option to set their photo album as a wallpaper or background, allowing for dynamic visuals instead of a static image. This update also empowers users to securely store their watch data backups in the Samsung Cloud through the Smart Switch app. Notably, it enables seamless pairing of the smartwatch with a new phone without the need for a factory reset.

Moreover, the One UI 5 Watch software update introduces improved sleep coaching features, as well as the inclusion of cycling workout records and personalized heart rate zones. Noteworthy additions also include the capability to control call volume, mute sound, and interact with the keypad directly from the watch. Furthermore, it empowers Bixby to read notifications aloud.

In the latest update, users of Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Fold 5 can even capture photos using their watches by simply tapping the camera icon when the phones’ cameras are active in Flex mode or Tent mode.
